Scarce Simon & Halbig 1870s Parian type Lady, faintly incised “S ? H” on front shoulder head, 18″ (46cm). Faint hairline from back rim to lower side neck, to front rim. Elaborate deep molded hairstyle with front long sausage curls to black hair ribbon, then up again to back massed cascading and mid sausage curls and lower curls to neck. Pierced ears, cobalt blue inserted glass eyes, black eyeliner, fine charcoal grey angled lashes, long expertly feathered brows. Blushed cheeks, closed pink mouth with protruding upper lip and shaped red center line. Cloth wood filled body, parian arms with one thumb missing, lower limbs with painted black boots and cream stockings. Pink satin gown with train, net antique lace overlay with wear, pink ribbon sash, organdie stiffened collar and cuffs, flower applied to lower long sleeves.
